MAVERICKS LIVE

It used to take Bobby and I about 2 weeks to make a Billy Nayer Show record. Our last effort took over two years. During that time I wrote STINGRAY SAM.

Upon its completion we put the new record on hold and began recording the Stingray Sam soundtrack. A week before beginning pre-production for Stingray Sam we staged two live performances of our yet to be released material at Maverick Studios, NYC. Both evenings were filmed and recorded.

In anticipation of the Fall release of our next album entitled, "BNS Presents The Billy Nayer Show" we have posted clips from our last concerts. The songs included on the widget below are "Mars," "James Gang." and "Two Flies." More clips will be posted closer to the release of the record.

Musicians include:
Cory McAbee (Stingray Sam) - vocals, electric autoharp
Bobby Lurie (Cubby) - drums
Crugie - (Quasar Kid) - guitar
Frank Swart (Bartender) - bass

Director of photography: Alan Jacobsen
2nd camera: Jonathan Furmanski
3rd camera: Johnny Daukes

Recorded and mixed by Karl Derfler
Edited by Andrew Blackwell

Please post this clip wherever people might enjoy it.
More clips are available at The Billy Nayer Show's new web site, www.corymcabee.com/billynayershow.

More soon.
Your friend,
Cory McAbee

Thank you for sharing! I have asked for Stingray Sam for my birthday a few months ago and my fingers are still crossed, only three more weeks to go! (:

Wow! That footage is incredible! That "Two Flies" left me with chills. Is that performance going to be released sometime? That would be a pretty great artifact, for sure, no?

Very excited about the new record!
