The American Astronaut stuff.

Hey my friends,
New things are happening. We are in post-production for our new film. The film should be complete by the end of the year. The edit is coming together nicely and Bobby and I (The Billy Nayer Show) are now creating the soundtrack here in Chinatown, NYC.

We are still planning to shoot Werewolf Hunters of the Midwest this Fall. I will keep you posted as that time approaches.

For the past 10 years all of The American Astronaut props, costumes and set pieces have been sitting in a storage space in Queens, NY. After 10 years the producers decided to shut down the space and asked me to do the honors. I was sad to think of throwing so many beautifully crafted items away, but there was no longer a place to keep them. By chance, a fan of the film wrote to me from Pittsburgh, PA asking if I would sell him a prop from the film. I told him that he could have everything if he would empty out the space. He and a young lady-friend took a bus from Pittsburgh and rented a U-haul when they arrived. The three of us spent several hours packing everything into the U-haul, including my ship console. We had a wonderful time. Below are the last photos that I was able to find.

That was Samuel Curtis and the Blueberry Pirate before they became Stingray Sam and Fredward.

These dresses were made of shower curtains and plastic flowers. I kept two of the dresses. One to hang in my office and one to store.

This Polaroid was hidden under a box for 10 years.

This is the only picture of our boys from the Ceres Crossroads. I'm forever grateful to these gentlemen and to everyone else who worked on that film. It's always good to see their faces.

This picture was taken last month at a drive-in in Memphis, TN. It was sent to me by the Indie Memphis Film Festival. That's me and Gregory Russell Cook on screen. I worked with Greg last summer on the new film that I am now editing.

The Billy Nayer Show will be taking a break to do a West Coast tour. Dates are listed below. I hope we see some of you out there.

I often receive emails from people searching for copies of our work. If you would like to buy a copy of THE AMERICAN ASTRONAUT, STINGRAY SAM or our new BNS record look here: http://www.corymcabee.com/store/

More updates soon.

....I was just watching a television science show and learned that asteroids are REALLY REALLY far apart. They are SO far apart that if you lived on one the only way you could be heard by someone on another asteroid would be to yodel loudly and at length. I hope you make a movie about the yodellers of the asteroids. Thankyou sirs for your time.
